“When I started working with Todd, I was so unsure of myself. I never would’ve guessed that one day I’d be attending the University of Iowa, studying in one of the top creative writing programs in the country. Todd’s calm demeanor, constant encouragement, and thoughtful feedback on my writing made all the difference. He was always available, always positive, and always believed in what I was capable of.”

“I honestly can’t thank Todd enough. When I was struggling to find direction, he helped me rethink my major and introduced me to a dual-degree program at SUNY Albany where I could earn both my bachelor’s and master’s in five years. He also helped me to find an internship working with kids who were going through tough times, and that experience helped confirm the kind of work I wanted to do. Todd’s guidance completely changed my path, and now I’m a licensed family therapist doing work that I truly love.”

“Working with Todd was truly a turning point for me. His encouragement gave me the confidence to pursue opportunities I wouldn’t have considered on my own, like leadership roles in school clubs, scholarships, and ultimately, applying to and getting into Vassar. His support went far beyond just college advisement. Our conversations helped me figure out what mattered to me and shaped how I approached big decisions, not just about college, but about who I wanted to be.”

“I don’t know how we would’ve gotten through the process without Todd. He didn’t just understand college admissions; he understood my kids. The level of attention he gave to every detail was remarkable. Every essay, every deadline. He was on top of all the little things that could’ve easily slipped through the cracks. He kept us sane during an incredibly stressful time, and his calm, steady presence made everything more manageable. Both of my kids ended up at prestigious schools, and I truly believe his guidance and support made all the difference.”

"Due to the Covid epidemic, my daughter had struggled with aspects of her final years of high school, including a lack of social interaction and academic skill development. She was admitted to a range of universities which all offered different possibilities. Though she was learning toward Cornell, we were nervous about her preparation for the rigor that was expected and the transition to college life more broadly.
Todd was extremely helpful in our navigating the college decision making process and identifying resources and approaches to make her transition a success. Through his deep knowledge, additional research, and questions and conversations, he helped give us a sense of perspective, calm, and equipped us with strategies and ways to access support by the University.  In the end, nerves gave way to greater confidence in her decision and her ability to manage her first years at school."

"First things first: it was obvious from the beginning that Todd truly and deeply cares about his students. Above all, that care takes the form of listening closely, of learning about the young person in front of him and helping ascertain what might be their best path and the best college fit. Todd’s professionalism was immediately clear; it’s his humanity that sets him apart. He helped my son stay on top of everything required, but he also made him think deeply about what was important to him and why. The college process became an education of its own instead of just a stressful chore. Thanks in large part to Todd’s guidance, my son earned a generous merit-based scholarship to Adelphi, where he's excited to pursue a degree in business and play on the golf team. Our family is very grateful to have found him."
