Throughout his career, Todd has guided over a thousand students to discover their academic strengths, identify fields aligned with their interests and career aspirations, and gain admission to colleges that are the right fit for them. He holds a B.A. in English from Columbia University and an M.P.A. from Rockefeller College of Public Affairs at the University at Albany. As Director of Student Services and Dean of Student Success at SUNY Ulster, Todd led initiatives that significantly increased graduation rates and introduced degree programs and microcredentials in health studies, computer science, engineering, and business. He also secured over $10 million in grants, which funded opportunity programs, a state-of-the-art digital media studio, and transfer scholarships that have enabled hundreds of students to advance their education and pursue aspirations that once seemed out of reach.
Beyond his work at SUNY, Todd co-founded Camp Starfish, a non-profit serving children and teenagers with emotional, social, and learning challenges. His leadership shaped an environment that has, for 25 years, empowered thousands of young people to cultivate their academic, artistic, and athletic talents while supporting their mental health and emotional well-being. At Starfish, Todd mentored and trained hundreds of counselors, all high school and college students, many of whom have since built distinguished careers in teaching, psychology, social work, law ,and medicine.
Kristin Flynn holds a B.F.A. in Fashion Design from Parsons School of Design and an A.A.S. in Textiles from Rochester Institute of Technology. Her career in the fashion industry spans two decades, including a role as Head Apparel Designer for Nike, where she designed Olympic uniforms and performance wear. Kristin also liaised with Nike offices and divisions across Africa, Europe, and Asia, ensuring alignment on product development and global brand strategy. As a freelance designer, she worked with major brands such as Fila, Danskin, Brooks Sports, and Columbia Sportswear.
As a Fine Arts Professor at SUNY Ulster, Kristin launched the college's Fashion Design Program and taught courses in design, textiles, and portfolio development. She also served as a curator for the College’s Muroff Kotler Gallery, reviewing and selecting artists' work for exhibition and installing several shows. Prior to her time at SUNY Ulster, Kristin was a lecturer at Marist College, where she led study abroad programs to London, Paris, and Antwerp. She also advised on curriculum development for Marist’s School of Communication & The Arts and served on the Admissions Review Committee for the Fashion Program.
In addition to her work in fashion, Kristin is an accomplished artist whose narrative paintings, inspired by the natural landscapes of the Adirondacks, reflect her deep concern with climate change and wildlife conservation. Her work has been exhibited in numerous galleries, and she has earned residencies at prestigious programs such as the Vermont Studio Center and the Jentel Artist Residency.
Since 2022, Todd has been a member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA), reflecting his commitment to excellence in educational consulting and his dedication to supporting students and families in navigating the college admissions process.
